Sophisticated & Modernized Laboratories

Even though we have the better infrastructure, we constantly improvise it to be at the best and meet & maintain the ever growing industry standards

Electrical Circuits Lab

Electrical Circuits Lab let the students verify and demonstrate various Network Theorems, Locus diagrams, Resonance, and Two-port networks. Also, to determine self and mutual inductance of a magnetic circuit, parameters of a given coil, and measurement of 3- phase power. Finally, students will perform comparisons between the experimental results with calculated counterparts.

Electrical Machines Lab

Electrical Machines Lab is a core laboratory of Electrical Engineering. This lab serves the basic course needs of many branches of engineering. This lab holds electrical machines of both A.C. and D.C. types. This lab is general enough to have several experiments suitable for giving students enough exposure to adopt experiments in more advanced laboratories in the department easily.

Control Systems Lab

Control Systems Lab imparts hands-on experience to students in understanding the performance of essential control system components such as magnetic amplifiers, D.C. servo motors, A.C. Servo motors, stepper motors, and potentiometer. The students also learn and understand the time and frequency responses of the control system with and without controllers and compensators.

Power Electronics Lab

Power Electronics Lab introduces the volt-ampere characteristics of various high and low-power rated power electronic devices. Also, it gives a brief analysis of the different rectifier, voltage controller, and D.C. – D.C. chopper circuits comprising various loads like R, R.L., RLC, and RLE loads. Further, basic inverter and cyclo-converter circuits are also analyzed in view of real-time simulation problems.

Power Systems Lab

Power Systems Lab briefly exposes the practical knowledge of various power systems, including sample and standard IEEE test bus systems. It helps find multiple parameters of the complex networks and analyzes them for determining the power flows, stability issues, and short circuit fault calculations. Further, the economic operation and frequency control with changes in loads are also structured in the MATLAB platform for optimal scheduling and operation.

Electrical Measurements Lab

Electrical Measurements Lab ensures the design and calibration of various bridges, meters, and protection transformers. In this, the students can find multiple errors while measuring electrical quantities like voltage, current, and power. Further, this lab also develops the skills of each student in making the energy meters and calibrating meters to ensure the measurement quality.

Electrical Simulation Lab

Electrical Simulation Lab comprises various advanced software like MATLAB, PSPICE, EMTAP, PSCAD, and Opal RT, which are used in evaluating the basic and advanced level problems of electrical engineering. It also opens up various ways for conducting high-level research works for faculty and students.
